These paintings form part of a body of work begun in 1997 as an exploration of London, the city where I live. The work is inspired by walking. I get my ideas through making sketches and notes about the characters and the events that I witness. The ideas are worked into drawings and aided by memory they are worked onto the canvas. Like London itself, this process is subject to constant change.
